View or Edit Departmental Approvers in OneUSG Connect

   Overview   

To View Approvers: In OneUSG Connect, you can run a query to view departmental approvers (180_SEC_DEPT_APPROVERS). There are no prompts in the query because the results displayed are based on your security. Information returned includes Department Approval Level, Effective Date, the approver's Empl ID (User), Last Name, and First Name.

To Edit Approvers: Approvers can be updated via an MSS Security Request in OneUSG Connect. 

In this article, you will learn the steps to run a query on the OneUSG Connect System Manager Reporting Page in order to view a list of departmental approvers.

1. Step 1

First, log into OneUSG Connect

On the Manager Self Service homepage, click the System Manager Reporting tile.

The System Manager Reporting page is displayed.

Under the Queries drop down menu on the left side of the screen, click the Security and Workflow drop down menu to view available query groupings.

The Queries Group page is displayed.

Click the Security Access Query Group link.

The Security Access Query Group page is displayed with a list of available Security Queries.

Select the 1. Departmental Approvers query link.

The 180_SEC_Dept Approvers_V2 - Department Approvers query page is displayed. This query includes optional search fields to filter the results. 

The Set ID must be 18000 to retrieve organizational data.

 To expand on your search for the appropriate department, click the magnifying glass in the HR Department field.

The searched results are displayed. From the displayed list, select the appropriate department for the list or enter a full or partial department name in the begins with field. Use the wildcard character (%) to broaden your search.

You can also select Advanced Look up in the new window to include more fields into your department search.

To search for the appropriate HR Dept by description, enter a full or partial department name in the HR Department Description field.

Use the wildcard character (%) to broaden your search.

Within the Department Approval Level field, click the drop down arrow to select the appropriate Approver option.

Note: The Level 3 Approver role is currently unassigned and not in use.

To filter your search results for a specific employee enter appropriate information into the Employee ID field.

With the appropriate information entered into the search fields, click the View Results button to run the Query.
